Create Your Own Zine Workshop with Danielle Jane

A$50.00

One sheet of paper.
Eight little pages.
Completely your own!

Pronounced zeen, zines are handmade, self-published mini magazines created to share stories, ideas, artwork, interests or simply things you love.

Starting with a single A4 sheet of paper, you'll learn how to fold and transform it into your own eight-page mini publication, then fill it using collage, text and playful mark making.

Your zine can be thoughtful, funny, personal, artistic or completely random. There are no rules about what belongs inside it.

Artist and self-publisher Danielle Jane, founder of Dwelling, will guide you through the process, from finding an idea and experimenting with composition to assembling your finished, photocopy-ready zine.

What to expect

You'll start with a relaxed writing activity to get your ideas flowing before experimenting with collage, words, imagery and mark making to bring your zine to life.

Danielle will also show you how your finished A4 design can be photocopied and folded again, allowing you to reproduce your zine to give away, swap or share.

No previous art or writing experience is needed. Just come ready to experiment and make something that's completely yours.
